CAT 2009 Results to be deccared on 28 Feb

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) officials have announced that the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 results will be out on end of February 2010. Being the last day of February,i;e on Sunday, February 28, 2010.

The CAT exam is held every year for admission to Post-graduate courses and Fellow Programs in management institutes in India including 8 IIMs.

About 2.42 lakh candidates registered for CAT in 2009. The CAT for the first time was conducted online in 2009. More than 2 lakhs candidates completed the test successfully. But due to various technical glitches about 8,000 students faced difficulty of various kinds in completing the test. Those affected candidates were allowed to take the test again during second phase of CAT 2009.

Earlier it was announced that CAT results will be out by the third week of February. But due to some unknown reasons, it was not announced.

IIM | CAT 2009 Notification

CAT is conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.
The Indian Institute of Management will conduct Common Admission Test (CAT) during Saturday, 28 November 2009-Monday, 7 December 2009.
These programmes are:

A. Post Graduate Programmes in Management

* IIM Ahmedabad PGP, PGP-ABM and PGP-PMP
* IIM Bangalore PGP, PGSEM and PGPPM
* IIM Calcutta PGP-PGDM and PGP-PGDCM
* IIM Indore PGP and EPGM
* IIM Kozhikode PGP
* IIM Lucknow PGP and PGP-ABM
* RGIIM Shillong PGP

B. Fellow programmes in Management (FPM) [equivalent to Ph.D] of IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Lucknow.
